Nigerian Dwarf Goats

The Nigerian Dwarf is the only true miniature goat of dairy type and character. The Nigerian Dwarf Goat is growing in popularity across the United States because they are gentle, loveable and easier to handle compared to the larger dairy goat breeds. Its conformation is similar to that of the larger dairy breeds, but the parts of the body are in balanced proportion relative to their size. The profile of the face is straight although some have a small break or stop at eye level. The ears are alert and upright. The coat is straight with short to medium length hair; with short, sleek and smooth hair desirable. The desired height for does is 17 to 19 inches with a maximum of 21 inches. The desired height for bucks is 18 to 20 inches with a maximum of 23 inches. There is no minimum height for does or bucks; but correct proportions relative to size, with the emphasis on balance and symmetry, is preferred. Any color or combination of colors is acceptable. Color is one factor that makes breeding Nigerians so popular. You never can be sure what color the babies will be until they are born.
The Paint Horse

In 1519 the Spanish explorer Hernando Cortes sailed to the North American continent to find his fame and fortune. Along with his entourage of conquistadors, he brought horses to help his men travel across a new world in search of riches. He left behind a profound legacythe bloodstock that would provide the foundation for a variety of unique, distinct, American-bred horses. According to the Spanish historian Diaz del Castillo who traveled with the expedition, one of the 16 war horses that carried Cortes and his men was a sorrel and white horse with spots on its belly. That spotted horse bred with native American mustang and laid the foundation for what is today the American Paint Horse breed.
